Candice Copeland
Brooks is an international fitness consultant and lecturer, who,
with her company, Moves International Fitness, has traveled
to every state in the U.S. presenting workshops and master classes
to fitness professionals and the public. She has won a professional
following internationally as well, and has conducted workshops in
countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Sweden,
Norway, England and Australia.
The recipient of IDEA's
"Fitness Instructor of the Year" award, she is also the author of numerous
books and instructional manuals, including Moves, Thoroughly
Fit, Total Stretch on the Ball, Dynamic Stretch and Get on the Ball. Candice has produced and starred in over 20 fitness
videos, such as Step 'N Low, Dynamic Stretch and Total
Stretch on the Ball.
Candice was featured
on the cover of Shape magazine and has written for, and been the
topic of, other articles on the pages of fitness magazines such as Shape, Self, and IDEA Today. She has appeared on numerous television
shows as a fitness expert, and writes and choreographs exercise videos
for other fitness personalities and to feature new exercise equipment.
She served on the board of advisors for IDEA, and has consulted with product
and educational program development teams for major fitness equipment
and shoe companies around the world. She continues to train fitness professionals
worldwide and is a leader in the field for developing cutting-edge fitness
programming.
Candice was a partner,
instructor trainer and creative development director for the Los Angeles
fitness studio, Body Express, known for its innovative programming.
Her background in competitive gymnastics and athletics, 10 years of professional
dancing, and double college majors in Physical Education and Communications
all contribute to her ability to educate creatively. She and her husband
Douglas live high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and are the parents of
two active sons. When she isn't at a soccer game, swim meet or ski race,
Candice loves to fit in Alpine and Nordic skiing, biking, hiking and yoga. |
